Faces tell what words cannot
We built this platform in 2024 around a single observation: most acting students spend years studying scripts but only weeks studying themselves. Facial expression and gesture work is the part that gets skipped. We made it the whole curriculum.

The instructors behind the method
Each person on this team came from performance backgrounds, not academia. That distinction shapes how sessions are structured and what gets prioritised when time is limited.
Aoife Brennan
Lead Acting Coach - Facial Expression SpecialisationAoife spent 14 years in stage and screen work across Ireland and the UK before moving into coaching. Her focus narrowed to expression work after noticing that directors consistently flagged the same gap in otherwise technically capable actors.
"Most people can download a manual on Stanislavski in 5 minutes. What takes time is learning to read your own face in real time - that's the actual work."
How group sessions differ from private ones
- Group sessions of 6–8 students focus on comparative observation - watching others teaches faster than self-analysis alone
- Private lessons allow frame-by-frame video review of your recorded exercises, something group format cannot accommodate
- Both formats follow the same 12-week expression map but diverge in pacing and depth of feedback
Ciarán Devlin
Gesture and Movement InstructorCiarán trained in physical theatre in Dublin and spent 9 years working with deaf theatre companies, where gesture carries the full communicative load. That experience changed how he teaches hand and body language to hearing actors.
Siobhán Kearns
Learning Path DesignerSiobhán builds the structure that sits behind every module - sequencing exercises so each one builds on the last. She reviews learner progress data every 4 weeks and adjusts paths accordingly.
What this is not
- Not a general acting school - the curriculum covers expression and gesture only
- Not self-paced video content - every module includes at least 4 scheduled live interactions
- Not a download guide or static resource library - material is delivered and discussed in real time
New writing on expression work, before it goes public
Every few weeks we publish a short piece on something specific - a gesture pattern, a misunderstood micro-expression, a technique that came out of a recent session. Subscribers get it 48 hours before anyone else, along with occasional practice notes that never appear on the site.
Early access means you receive each article the moment it clears review - no waiting for the public release cycle. No need to download a guide or dig through an archive.
